I changed this from "general mark 8 discussion" to "general lincoln discussion".

We're getting new visitors with Lincolns other than Mark VIII's, and I think this forum will serve us all better as a general discussion forum related to Lincolns in general than just Mark VIII's.

Plus, i'm about to post a thread about my Navigator in here.

Cool, but it's in the Mark VIII section - you want to move it to just the general area like where glove box is?

Maybe.

Before i make any more significant changes, i'm going to put some thought into it and probably consult others. Don't want to get too drastic without some input.

We do need a little revamping. I'm hesitant to put too much effort into it though, because what we really need is a complete upgrade using phpBB or vbulletin.

there's a whole conference for mark viii specific posts.

There's a specific section for tires, drivetrain, electrical, etc.

all the other models only get one forum for all technical discussion.

Previously, there was a general discussion forum for mark viii specific banter, and another forum for non-lincoln general discussion. No place for me to put my navigator post.

I fixed it.

I must say that I will not be excited about viewing more and more email notifications that more than likely won't benefit me or my car. And that's my thoughts on the subject.

Anyone else?

Dave that is why we have a Navigator section. If you want to post about the Navigator it would go in the navigator section. Why in the world would somebody post about their Navigator in this section which is under the mark viii area of the message board.

I feel stupid. I never realized it was in the Mark VIII Series conference.

I agree with the concept of a General Lincoln Discussion forum, but perhaps it should be elsewhere?

There is no navigator section.

It's a "lincoln SUV's" section.

This is the general discussion forum. No reason it should be limited to mark 8's if the club is open to other models. Maybe we should change the name of the conference.

if you're worried about more emails, unsubscribe to the email feature.

Sorry Dave, but last time I heard, the Navigator was a Lincoln SUV was it not?

As far as e-mails, as head moderator I need it to be active so I can receive alerts. Part of my duties as a moderator is to handle moderating the message board.
