lol it looks like it but i started wet sanding the 93 i repainted, i did the red one last week and it came out mint, now im working on the purple one. i tried to do as much as i could today. its tough to do anything when your sick, but i had to do something i couldnt sit in the house another day. im sanding out all the orange peel but i still have much more to sand. i managed to get the whole passenger side done, but i have to go over the trunk and wing again, and then do the rest of the car before i buff it. thankfully this one doesnt have nearly as much orange peel as the red one did. the car looks horrible right now lol.

no this is a cold i have from all the little kids my daughter goes to school with, me and my wife have it from her, this isnt paint related at all. besides i have a very costly respirator i purposely spent alot of money on for that reason, because my father in law has parkinsons due to paints and aerosol chemicals, and i dont need to end up like that. but no, this is a head cold i have it isnt from painting. that car was painted 3 weeks ago i woke up sick yesterday!

Looking good, I hate sanding, such a long process and I usually try jumping to buffing too early.

lol thats what i did on the 93, i sanded a little, dried it, buffed, sanded some more, got water spots all over the buffed stuff, it was a mess. this time im sanding the whole car i wont even take the buffer out till the sanding is done. and yes, wet sanding a whole car blows. if its a panel here and there thats easy, but a whole car uggggggggg its so hard to keep going once i start because i lose all motivation within the 1st 30 minutes. my sneakers got soaked today i had to take them off and walk around the car barefoot there was so much water around the car. you cant even imagine how thrilled im going to be when its finished. wait till you guys see my next project. another paint job that i cant even get inside my shop, its a 24 foot f-650 ex-uhaul box truck. someone needs to slap me in the head!!

Very familiar with that "look." When polishing out my model cars they often look like that when I first start. After going thru all the steps though, it like Richard Petty said, "Man what a difference!" Much less work though on something 1/25th scale, but can take several hours though.

Hope you get feeling better, can't wait to see that one "rubbed out".

If your getting into painting 24ft box trucks, I might need to get my Starfire down there, there's a project for ya!

dude clearcoat is plenty sandable, it doesnt ruin it at all, unless you are careless and sand it off. im sanding with 2000 grit, it takes a long time to hurt the clear. thats why i put 4 coats on the car, sanding the clearcoat makes it smooth as glass, takes the high spots out and any dust. once buffed, you'll never tell it was sanded. max you could do this same thing to your vette without hurting it.

Wow I didn't know clearcoat was thick enough for that. Learn new things every day :).
