IAC restrictor plate

I've always hated how slow the mark was to return to idle after revving it. I found that many mustang guys feel the same way. some have used an IAC resrictor plate to limit the IAC airflow. It seem like many have installed the plate with very good results. Quicker throttle responce while still maintaing a consistant idle. I was going to make one but I found one premade on e-bay for $8.50 shipped so I'm going to give it a try when I install my new IAC. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Has anyone on here tried this before??

To find the ebay auction just search the e-bay user magnum347 and you will see the plates for sale.

RE: IAC restrictor plate

hes on MD, he has a really long thread there about it. people seem to like it.. alot of people say that the same thing can be achieved by a good tune too.. so its a toss up.. but for 8.50 shipped you cant go wrong.. he sends instructions too, you have to do a bit of trial and error with it to get it right.. each car is different about what size opening it likes..
