If I'd only had $10,300...

I watched a 98' Cordovan Red / gray LSC with 36K roll through the auction today and the high bidder bought the car at $10,200...

Car had heated seats, sunroof, CD changer, Chrome 10 spoke directionals, factory cell phone...
It looked brand new, everything worked...

It was a very sad moment for me...

On a lighter note... :D I watched a 96 Chevy Impala SS black / gray with 300 miles roll through for $27,800... Of course it was actually brand new... it had a clean title with 10 original miles…

Now, on a sadder note, I watched a 2003 Eldorado Special Edition in that bright ass red color Sandy loves so much pull $18,700. Of course what makes this sad is that the entire passenger side of the car was wrecked... from stem to stern, whoever was driving it managed to flatten the whole side at 4,600 miles... The car was swarmed by all these greasy looking dealers on there Nextels 2-waying their dealerships about how they could rebuild the car... x(

I too would have bid on the 98 Mark in heartbeat. You're right about somebody making a profit on the Eldorado. My wife's car is 97 De'Ville that we were going to trade in on an new Eldorado but the dealer didn't want to come off the MSRP sticker price enough. But on a new De'Ville they were willing to knock $8.5K right away.

That's interesting because around here, you can't give a brand new Eldorado away, but man, dealers can't hold onto used ones. Once they've taken that first big depreciation hit, it's like having gold on your lot...
