JESUS RAY!! Don't do that to yourself! I have a good friend who also didn't take care of himself and he lost a leg. In all my hospital stays over the last five yrs. I have seen a lot of people with complications from diabetes only because they didn't take care of themselves.

Diabetes is nothing to fool around with! Do you want to loose your sight? Or a limb? Or your life?

Ok, now that I yelled at the naughty Ray... FEEL BETTER SOON!!!

Really man, take care of yourself. Don't want any more members kicking the bucket.

There's a diabetic guy here who's into some herbal remedies and whatnot. He says that an herb called "gymnema sylvestre" works really well to lower blood sugar. I did a search on the internet to try to verify his claim, and it looks like there have been some studies that show it to be somewhat effective. This guy says that eating that and staying away from whole grains has kept him off insulin, and has helped out a lot of other people he turned on to it. This guy is 62 and looks like he's maybe 40, so i'm even giving some of his methods a try. You might want to give that a try and see if it helps out at all.

Joe, it's not the booz you have to worry about..it's whether or not we would have ever been let back in after I told the nurse exactly what I thought of her statement that visiting hours were over...
