We bought HOTLNC’s replacement over the weekend. The car is not here yet, so I’m driving HOTLNC. We haven’t told HOTLNC about the new car. We’ll just put them together in the same garage and see what happens. We hope HOTLNC doesn’t pull a Herbie!
The car is fully loaded. It is a 2010 Ford Fusion SEL, 3.0L V6. It is literally a Little Lincoln. Leather interior, all the whistles and bells, except for back up camera, and collision radars. It has all the extras the Lincolns spoiled us with as standard equipment, except for one item. The car has heated tushy warmers, heated external mirrors, chromatic inside mirror, premium sound system (Microsoft SYNC), CD/MP3 player, Satellite radio and the list goes on.
We started out looking at 4 bangers, until I started researching the mileage. A four cylinder has about the same fuel mileage as a V6. This tells me that the little four is too under powered for the car. Just like our old 94 six cylinder Continental. So I got the six.
