Is it the multifunction switch????

The wiper works intermittenly (meaning when it wants to...there is a loud clicking under the dash when you turn the wipers on and for some strange reason the wipers only work when the blinker is on.
Any ideas?
Its a 97 Conti BTW

I just had my multi-function swith replaced in my '98 Conti. It was doing the same thing. All is well now.

Get a service manual and see what kind of voltage the w/s wiper motor is supposed to be getting, and check for that. If it's not getting what it's supposed to be getting, it's probably the switch. If it is, it's probably the motor.

I've had to fix w/s wiper problems on 2 s10's that i bought recently. One had a bad ground (the wipers didn't work at all), and one had a bad motor (it only worked on high).
