So my fuel pump looks like this
The part that's right over the pump has a little pinhole that appears to be the check ball valve. On my car when I tap the line i can see the gas fall backwards and spill out that hole. Is this hole even necessary? It's above the pump so I don't see how it would normally hold the pressure since it's above the pump itself or even the purpose of it with it being here. Why can't i just seal it off with something and call it good?
