I raced a buddy at the track he has a 2003 stang 5 speed. I new I was as good as owned. we staged. I staged deep and as soon as the third light turned I punched it. the fist time he stalled it. The second race he spun the tires bothe races I beat him by a second. I raced a 1970 dodge charger that I new could beat me. same as above I pulled him by a car length. after the third race and some bogging I noticed the battery light was coming on when I reved it. I left the best time of the night was 10.1 bad alternator no mods, 85 degrees mugy and my second time at the track 1/8 mile by the way.:7
On the way home a jap bike reved next to me at 60mph. I just could not resist it. I punched it and he punched it after down shifting. I pulled him pretty hard up to 85 and I let off. he flew past me like a proud honda owner. LOL.

"It's the driver, not the car."

So True. Was this a 1/8th mile track?

I miss running at a local 1/8th mile track that shut down. It was more a battle of drivers than cars since there was never any track prep and the higher HP cars would suffer tremendously. By the time they recovered from their traction woes, the Mark VIII had them at the line. }(

Had it been a 1/4 mile track, most likely they would've blown by me as they made up for it on the far end of the track.
