This car has a well-known history on this website, and amoung many of you that I consider my friends.

If you have any smart comments regarding my asking price for a car with 175k miles on it, please keep them to yourself, as they will not contribute in any way to this thread.

I know what this car cost ME, and what it is worth locally.

I have many many modifications done to it, all of which are listed in my link below.

if you want more pictures, say the word.

I currently have an aftermarket stereo in the vehicle which is NOT included. I will re-install the STOCK head unit(which shows zero wear on the buttons) and stock 10-disk CD changer in the trunk.

There are 7 known "issues", not uncommon with a Mark VIII-especially a 14 year old one
.
1)very VERY slight oil leak developed near the oil filter housing gasget. Everything else is bone-dry.

2)the little brow that sits above the steering column, but below the instrument cluster is not attahced on one side(common problem)

3)the plastic sunroof shade frame has a crack, which can be re-attached easily with super-glue. It does not affect the sunroof or shade operation.

4)the factory wood grain has two hairline cracks, both of which have been present since I bought the car in 2003, and have not changed. Ash tray lid, and between the shifter hole and driver's side of the console. very minor details, but there, none the less.

5)rear window seal is dry. I have cut most of it off, and tucked the rest in the channels. If this is a deal breaker, find another car.

6)rear upper shock mounts are showing wear. Replace them.

7)speedometer is off by 8% due to tailshaft tooth count in the Mustang tranny-buy the correct gear for $20, and you're set.

I have nothing to hide. This car rides a little stiff with the Bilsteins out back. Take them off and install monroes. Or keep them and enjoy the tight ride.

Fly out, and and drive it home...and get 25+ mpg city, or 31+ mpg freeway.

No low-ballers. This isnt just any USED Mark VIII. This is a well-cared for, excellent handling example of a beautiful car.

Granted, it has alot of miles...but considering I bought it in July of 2003, with 52k miles on it(yes, I have proof), and now, less than 5 years later, it has 175k miles on it, I obviously drove almost ALL freeway.

Paint this car, and enjoy it....pics show old headlight housings. They are now brand new!

the link below shows the car, and explains every single modification. There are a few updates, including the small oil leak, and the mileage since the webpage was created. The car is "Sirius" ready. It has a mount, antenna, power cord, and will accept your Sirius receiver. I will even throw in a Sirius Stratus for FREE(needs activation). Just set it to FM Transmitter, and play it through the factory stereo.
