I finally got some original wood trim in my 94 green Mark VIII. The wood wasn't used in the 94, until build dates around January 95.

Jeremi found this for me when he was getting parts from a parts car. Thanks again Jeremi!

My green Mark doesen't have traction assist, but the wood parts had the hole for the TA switch. I used the TA switch hole to mount the knob for my Module VIII. I still need to find a better knob for it though. Hmmm...a wood knob?

Wow I really didn't know what to expect with this one! Bill, looks great, I never knew that wood ever came on the 94's.
 
looks great bill. i want to do the same thing in my 93, but i am waiting for a few pieces to show up in my inventory or someone else's!
 
Very nice addition. IMO the Mark VIIIs did NOT have enough wood. They fixed it for the most part on the Gen IIs with adding some wood to the doors, but the gen 1s looked pretty plain. Great addition.

I think that the 94, 95, and 96 Marks had the best looking wood (except of course the 98 collector's edition). The 94 is different because it doesn't have wood around the radio, and since it wasn't used for the whole model year, I think it's pretty rare.

I hope everyone got a chuckle out of my feeble attempt at ambiguous humor in the title of this thread.:D
 
Yep I really liked the shiny wood in my 96 :D. The 98 was a bit faker looking. The CE has the best as you said.
