J, I figured you would get a laugh out of this

The specs are more or less the same, i'm not aware of cam timing difference between the different year motors. I do know the 96-98 Cobra cams are the most agressive stock and will give the most peak horsepower. All 03/04 DOHC cams (Cobra, Mach 1, Maurader, Aviator) are exactly the same in specs and are very close to stock Mark VIII cams... these cams have been tuned for the most low end-mid range torque. The 99-01 Cobra cams are almost the same as 96-98 but slightly less duration.

You know what works best(kinda like Unity's Aviator engine swap) is big torque numbers to get our cars moving. A VERY common engine swap for the FoxBody stangs is the 5.0's out of the 95 Exploders....TONS of torque vs. a Mustang 5.0. There was a guy at the track running 13.7's in a STOCK 90 Hatch with a Exploder 5.0. Pretty sweet :)

93-98 DOHC intake cams have a 3 degree off set on the lobs to create a swirl in the cylinder. After that they are matched up at the same. The exhaust is what is increased on the newer cams.

I can sit down and measure the lift and duration of the 03's if you want.

No I mean the lobes themselves are offset by 3 degrees on the cam, like the primary intake lobe and the secondary intake lobe are offset by 3 degrees to induce a swirl action in the cylinder.

Confirmed as per the Sean Hyland book, this opens one of the intake valves before the other to make the incoming air swirl as it goes into the cylinder. He also stated that when he does his re-grinds they take out this 3 degrees figure and grind both intake lobes the same.
