hang in there, i was out of work for over 3 months. Back to work now but for less pay :(

Tip: When you put your resume up on Monster or other sites, fill up the end of the page with "invisible" (white) keywords regarding all of your skills and experience. Most employers/recruiters filter by keyword before they even begin reading resumes, so this tactic will make sure you end up in that pile.

Sure...but aren't you a cop? By the time he gets out of the Academy, the job market will have been revived.

Not knowing what jobs you have Mike, I assume he is not considering flipping patties or delivering pizza. Of course from what I hear, some technician level guys are going into retail and restaurants to make ends meet.

I'm hoping Congress passes the bill that extends unemployment for another 12 months...I may need it.

P.S. - I personally hate taking taxpayer money and would just assume sleep in the gutter, but having a two year old means I have to swallow my pride... :(
