I just read some posts and realized there is a club with membership. I will join. Felt bad I asked for some advice on some things and had not joined. Anyone know a Mark VIII mechanic in the Atlanta area that knows the best modification products and works for a fair price?

No need to be a member - people like to give advice here.

Of course if I'm wrong, I've been a freeloader on this forum for five years now... :(

Woops...it never occurred to me that it was improper ediquette to use a forum without contributing - not that I disagree with that. Being an engineer, ediquette is sometimes lost to me. However, I am a gentleman, so I'll admit my mistake and make it right today! :7

Mike-thanks for the reply! No plans to drag or race. Just looking to max Hp and performance and pick up some nice low sound (bub, bub, bub, bub). My research tells me to increase air in and out and possibly get a chip. The chip scares me because I do not want headaches and I have always heard not to mess with the computer on cars-potential for headaches. Looking for best quality dollar for dollar intake mod, best exhaust/muffler system, and could be talked into adding the chip/programming by a mechanic that is local in Atlanta and has experience with the MARK.Your thoughts?

Many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike-

I would really appreciate a mechanic in the Atlanta area. I live in Roswell and work in Marietta.

Thanks Mike!

I am a novice so a question:

1. What is the diff between a SCT flash device and a chip like blue oval?
2.Do you buy the device and then have the tune loaded?
3. What brand of mufflers did Grand install? Does your system sound diff/better than stock?
4. What kind of performance improvement does the exhaust mod give you by itself?

Thanks for the lead on Grand Mufflers. I will go see them. I would like the opp to chat with you. Call me at the office if you can. 770-859-9555.
