OMG is it loud, well base loud. I just bought a friends box with two MTX 12" subs in it for $125 and a 1000 watt amp. I just got done hooking it up and wow, what a sound? I feel like I am 20 again. lol. I shoulda took pis but I didn't but its a nice setup and aside from the 4 gauge power wire I hid the wires very well.

With that setup, rattling the mirrors shouldn't be any problem!

So much for trunk space with two 12s! :p

i just put a system in my black 93 too, kenwood excelon kdc-859 deck, 4 kicker ds 6x8's inside, i ran 2 gauge to my amps though, that was a treat, i also went with two amps, an alpine v-12 and a fosgate punch 360 i have a 12 inch kicker in a bandpass sitting in the trunk for now till i finish my box im building for my 10 inch infinity that will be permenant in the trunk once im done. the set up i have now is way past loud, makes me feel young again too, only i cant hear as good as i used to, just because of loud stereo's.

you know what? I find it really rounds out the whole sound well, I have everything else stock and they sound good but no base and it sounds all upfront, now with the box I have an even overall sound.

Do you use a fuse inline for the amp wire? And if so, what kind and where could I get one from?

i have one yes because im running two high power amps and huge power lead, my fuse holder is made by stinger and i got it at the local audio shop, it houses a 120amp fuse. this is what mine looks like.

nice, whats that cost and I have a 1000watt amp. do you think I should get one of these? Everyone is telling me that if I don't I run the risk of it going on fire.

You can get a fuse block with a glass fuse. Up to I think 60 amp. Its been a while maybe larger now. They run around 10 to 20 bucks with the fuse .or you can get a fuse block with a blade type fuse There are two types of blade fuses. There are the ones like your new cars usees and then there are flat ones. The biggest i ever used was 150amp. To detemine the fuse size you need to look at the amp and see how many fuses it has in it. Then add up the amps and go ten amps higher. That is how I did it. But my way could bethe wrong way to. you can also get a circuit breaker if you so desire. Best Buy or Circuit City even wally world sometimes have the setup in the picture.

With the size amp you have I hilly suggest you get a "1 FARED CAP" its a Large capacitor that stores energy and released it in large bursts. This will act like a buffer on the electrical system and keep the battery and alternator from burning out. and trust me with a large amp its just a matter of time before one goes
