Just bought a 2003 Crown Victoria LX

Yep I just bought a 2003 Crown Victoria LX and am very happy with it. It has about 51000 miles on it. It has leather, automatic Climate Control, digital compass on headliner console, Cd and cassette deck, heated mirrors, adjustible pedals, etc... Loaded. Ok I know I was wanting another Mark VIII or Marauder, but I was burried up to my eyes in the focus SVT. I had over 4 grand of negative equity to get rid of. Plus things have been changing drastically in my life as of recent. I now need a good family car. Yep you heard that right. I have met someone who I am now in love with and looking to marry fairly soon down the road. Her name is Katie and she is 25 and she has a 5 yr old son named Matt. We are perfect for one another and can even communicate non verbaly most times. I am quickly becomming the family man. I now am traveling an hour and a half to Pittsburgh quite frequently. So this car is comfortable, large, 4 doors, and yet somewhat powerful too. Oh this is not meaning that it will stay stock though. My thoughts are some performance stage 3 heads, CAI, Chip, 4:10 gears, headers, high flow cats, catback system, and under drive pulleys. So yes I will keep it nice and show it too. I will post some pics as soon as I get a chance. I will for sure bring it to carlilse next year. Oh and will probably have several other people with me too LOL.

Sounds nice Bill. The panther platform is a solid base to build upon. I remember "The Great White Whale"(a V10 Grand Marquis w/ nitrous) at WFC9 putting up some impressive numbers. :)

Congrats and wishing you the best on all these changes Bill!

Congrats on the purchase, the Crown Vic is certainly a very good choice. I have owned a 98 Crown Vic for several years now and I love that car. I really hope you got the one with the "sport" package since the regular LX came with 2.73 gears which are horrible for such a heavy car with relatively low HP. The car loves to pop in and out of OD on the freeway. That would be the one and only complaint that I have with my Crown Vic.

I sure hope you got a great deal on that car, negative equity is not a joke and should be avoided at all costs.

I just got a regular LX. I am looking at changing to 4:10 real soon since I see exactly what you are saying about it having a highway gear. I am also going to have it changed to a locking rear end too. Then comes the UDP, Marauder airbox and PI intake tube. These will be the 1st mods. Thanks for all the well wishes too it really means alot.

No stickers! I think the 1st mod will either be a chip or a ported upper plenum and throttle body. And Leo I thought I would appease you by posting a pic of my future wife. No we are not engaged as of yet but once I have the money we will be. I already have a yes, and we are currently shopping for a townhouse to live in together as a family. I could not be happier than I am right now. So without further adue her is a picture of my future wife Katie.

Well I have news to report about that. I just ended the relationship last Friday. Things changed dramatically and I did not expect that but oh well. I however am psyched about Carlisle this comming year. I should have the following done by then:

Police Wheels
Police honeycomb grill
Police Interceptor emblem
Police Guage Cluster
Ported throttle body housing
Throttle body spacer

Thats about all that I will be able to have done for this year but plenty will be done for the following year. Including a possible 3:73 locking rearend, tinted windows, Cold Air Intake, and complete exhaust from headers back.

I will most liely be moving to Coraopolis PA very soon too. I do not however look forward to yearly inspections though, but the ability to have no front plate is a good one though. I alo would like to think that I will be closer to Carlisle too LOL.

Wow,
I just read this thread. I was happy for you and then!

Getting married is somewhat akin to playing Russian Roulet with only one empty chamber!!!

Be happy it fell apart before you tied the knot.
