Kenne bell gen 1 hood clearance?

Anyone have word on if a Kenne bell blower for the 96-98 cobra will clear the stock hood of a gen 1?

I would not think so. Charlie's (Roadboss) C head KB blower would not fit under a stock gen 1 hood.

No, it will not clear the stock hood. In fact, only the 1.5 and 1.7 cases fit under the 2nd gen hood.

ya, Im just thinking about what rout to go, I have a vortech ready to go that im leaning more towards however I don't think its the best option for our heavy cars. Id feel alot more confident tooning the vortech also. This would be a daily driver, I really like your set up mlschultz.

The car will be a lot lighter on it's wheels with gears and a high stall converter.

Save yourself some money and go with the Centri setup. You have the right gears and won't need a hood, and that's just for openers.

C head setup will fit just fine under stock 2nd gen hood regardless of the case size unless you go big like 2.6 or 2.8 then it's a cut out time
