Anyone have a pair that they've decided not to use, or know of a dealer with some in stock?

I've talked to Koni-NA and they've been discontinued due to lack of sales (zero factory shipments world-wide in 2010). They'd be happy to make more if I wanted 50 pair.

damn....50 pairs. I'm actually surprised they would make more for that small of an order. I did put a pair of those in my friends coil converted 93, he loves them. I hope they last.

They can be rebuilt....

Doug I bought the last shock available from Koni, for the WL project. I also had one spare, and that made the pair. There are none available from all the vendors that drop ship them, including the two linked above. Check with Bill at SCP, as much as I hate buying stuff from them, he might have some NOS.

Thanks, that confirms much of what I already know.

I'm actually making some progress with Koni-NA, and they've contacted Koni in Holland to try and get another production run (25 pair or so) made.

I hope you're not gonna have to buy all 25 pair...
Anyway, how much is it looking like they're gonna be? I may consider buying another set to help the cause...

Well, here's the bad news.

Koni Holland (the factory) reports that there are a few components that are unique to our front inserts that they have run out of. The qty/cost to purchase new components was the underlying reason for discontinuing the inserts.

Koni does not have any other alternatives for us.

Bottom line is, that they're not ever going to be made again.

I don't know how true that is. When I bought mine from Summit (or maybe it was TireRack) last year, their "in stock" counter said "less then three". After that, it kept saying "shipping 10/19" or whatever, and the date kept getting pushed back.

In any case it sucks.

Well, I got lucky and managed to find a pair (in Canada). Unfortunately, only one pair was available.

All I have to do now is scare up a pair of new front shocks to cut apart. ;)

Congrats Doug. I was seriously considering offering a trade with you, but now I don't have to think about it any more. :D

And don't anybody else ask, they're not for sale.

Well, thanks for that.

The one I did my write up on (removing front strut) ended up in the trash....bummer.
