That's what I thought. I swear I read that he had 4.30 gears but now I can't find it anywhere. I wondered if he edited the video description because I swore I read that, but either way I don't think the 4.30s alone are doing that! LOL He most definitely has a high-stall and probably an intake swap I would think. It sure sounds like it flows like a sonofabitch.
 
Yup, J that verifies it. He has the cobra intake too. Hmmm, I'm starting to dream a little bit. I have the intake and an available rear end with 4.30s to go look at. :D

Just another observation and I know I've mentioned this before. The 7K rpms:eek: Now I know that people spin them that high, but without forged internals like the 03/04 Cobras have, is this even a safe shift point?

I know Mike has been spinning his engine to these rpms for years but I have to speculate that he has some internal work done or am I wrong? I've been told that the pistons and rods in our engines are nothing to brag about. At this point, I guess who cares though since my converter is only rated at 6500 rpm but man, I'm still curious!
 
If he does have stock internals and he keeps spinning it to 7K he will sure find the limit in do time.The cast stuff can only last so long at that rpm.

From what I know Mike has a 302 stroker with forged internals.
 
No way is that Serge's car. He's pretty far from putting rap songs on his picture show. Lol! He's whiter than me.

One thing to consider is the instrument cluster lag. If you notice on most Gen 2's, the trans will have already shifted but the rpm gauge takes a split second to "catch up" and show the rpm change. This has been talked about on here before.
 
Wow! He runs this Gen2 at 13.21 1/4 mile. :eek: Now that would put him ahead of all of the Gen2s on the NA list here. I'll bet he has headwork and cams. I'd be curious to know exactly what he has had done if anyone knows. :D

I have video of it at Infineon back when it was BONE STOCK.
it's run those numbers. he has 4.30's now I think.

the day I filmed it, the sound was out of synch with the camera, and he was trying different 'tunes' for his sniper, and was still with stock gears so it wasn't running those numbers.

I've always doubted his numbers and Max and I have got onto debates over it too. He likes to be sneaky and say he's only got gears or a K&N but there def is more to the picture.
 
he's got a nitrous set up, self-tuned via sniper, cobra intake and gears.

But the nitrous didn't work right, so he took it off when he ran the 13's.
I've seen it run, and there are no power adders.

I also saw his NA 1995 LSC run low 13's as well...zero power-adders, just bolt-ons, and weight reduction.
 
I ran 13.7 with no weight reduction and 1.7 60's. Remember that!? I didn't even know what a 60' time was back then but Craig told me I was special. Lol! I don't think Serge got into the 13's and left early.
