This makes the 3rd year I've attended this event, the SC/XR7 Shootout in Xenia, OH. A lot of nice cars, nice people and a good track day.
My Mark VIII was the only Lincoln in attendance, but that didn't dampen my enthusiasm. After the car show and dyno day, the group ran at the Kilkare Raceway. While most were Thunderbird SuperCoupes in 5 different classes, there were 5 other classes which included an open bracket class.
I managed 13 runs prior to the start of qualifying and eliminations. The fastest being a 13.53 @ 100.2 mph.
R/T: 0.6649(0.500 tree)
60 ft: 1.923
330 ft: 5.5971
1/8th: 8.6409 @ 81.09
1/4: 13.5351 @ 100.21

The car ran fairly consistant in the 13.6s and when the first round of eliminations came, I dialed a 13.65.
Car #: 53(Tbird) / 15(Mark VIII)
Dial: 15.80 / 13.65
R/T: .5699 / .6889
60 ft: 2.3479 / 1.9502
330 ft: 6.7079 / 5.6469
1/8th: 9.5711 / 8.1719
mph: 71.1 / 79.34
1/4: 15.819 / 13.7051
MPH: 86.71 / 99.09
The reaction time was among my worst of the day and eliminated me from competition in the first round.
The good news was that out of 15 runs I won the fastest NA V8 award and took home $100 for my efforts.
