Location for remote oil filter

Is there a consensus on where to relocate your oil filter to? I've heard people mounting it in the wheel well area, but I'd be worried about debris hitting it.

Somewhere i saw a picture of a slick red mk that had the battery in the trunk and the oil filter in it's place.

That might have been mine, but I cannot find the oild filter relocation pics I had.
