Locked OUT!

Hello folks! It's been awhile and I need some help. I'm locked out of my Mark8. I parked it a couple of months ago due to ignition issues, (another coil cutting out) and now my battery is dead. Not usually a problem except my (key) door locks don't work. I was told they froze up due to lack of use and weather conditions where the car was originally driven. I can stick the key in the door, but it won't turn. Now, the car is locked, the battery is dead and I can't get in. Suggestions?? I thought about accessing a wire in the trunk, (at least I can get in there) and connecting a 12v source in the hopes the power would be enough to use the remote to open the doors. Can this be done? I'd really like to get her running again. Tired of driving my van. I need to feel that leather under my butt again. Not to menton all the ponies I'm doing without in my moving living-room! Help! (If you would please?!?)

Steve

The positive battery cable goes down to the starter.
Jack up the front passenger corner and clip a jumper on there, instead
of hacking into a trunk wire.

Yes, you can connect a 12V source to a live wire and get the required juice in to unlock the car.

Using alligator clips or adhesive tape, you can connect any number of AA/C/D/9V batteries in series that add up to 12V and unlock the car.

lol...I think you can still reach up from under and unlatch the hood...Ill have to try it tonight when I get home.

Did you try both door locks and did you try that lock lub they sell in the little can?

Thanks for the input guys. I like the starter idea above removing the battery from underneath, but it was a good laugh.

I saw my hood opened up by a skinney little guy that went in from under neath the car. I couldn't do it.

It was some spoof video where they used some early 80's french hunk or crap that has "air" locks (basically air solenoids instead of electronic ones) and cut a hole in the tennis ball and pressed it into the lock to "unlock" the car. Its basically a bunch of crap. And if anyone has seen the TV show Mythbusters it was on last night.

ahh never heard of air locks. sounds kinda scary tho with all the air lines to leak. no thanks ill stick with my steel rods and plastic clips on my locks thanks though
