My Father-in-Law just bought one of these -- 2004 Chevy SSR.
Corvette Engine, Black Leather, Bose Stereo, 9,000 miles. Very nice. Tammy looks good in it.

sorry but i think that is one of chevy's biggest mistakes of the new millenium. ugly, usless and ungodly heavy. sorry but thats how i feel about them, but who cares what i think!!! the color is sweet though lol!

Tammy looks good in everything!

I thought you were going to announce another dog, and I was getting a bit worried about your sanity.

BTW, how's the weather? ;)

I agree with Jamie. I liked them when they first came out, before I saw one in person. In pictures they looked awesome but the proportions are all way off. Its just too big where it shouldn't be.

Big yes. Heavy yes. But remember, a 67-year-old widower is driving it and he is just going to tool around town, go to the golf course, and that is it.
His justification for buying it was it was unique, it was a convertible and it was bright.
He was looking at the 350Z but there was just no room in it.
No, Sharon, 4 Great Danes are enough and the weather has been cooling down finally. 89 yesterday.

Congrats, I like it. I've seen a few up close and it's definitely a vehicle I would buy. The problem was that they were so darn expensive when new! Now you can get a low mileage used one for a decent price.

Is it heavier than a Mark?. I mean, the SSR still would smoke a Mark right?. I for one like the SSR. Its different and I'd take it over the "dime a dozen" 350Z anyday!. The 2 seater configuration is what would prevent me from owning one.

Nice I really want an SSR. They're a blast to drive and it definitely turns heads. Should have the 5.3, not the LS2, but either way still looks nice.

It is a novelty car, I test drove one when they first came out and was not impressed with them. But if you want a unique factory cruiser it will turn heads and getting it used he did not pay the mark up on it.

they are definetly different looking... but to each thier own.. if the owner is happy with it, thats all that matters... just dont exspect to win any races with it... i had one pull up to me while i was crusing my 06 trailblazer ss... not even worth the gas i burnt... i had him 2 lengths by the time i hit 3rd gear.... cool retro look but not what i would call a performance vehicle....
