Lost dash lights and a/c today

So driving to work this morning the dash lights just went out, but the a/c still worked, leaving work I discovered no dash lights, still, and now no a/c, like the compressor isn't coming on. ideas?

okay well just checked it again and now the dash lights are working but there is still no compressor action.

update:
I can visibly see that the compressor is not coming on, but there is plenty or freon in the system.

Okay checked the fuses and apparently fuse number 34 (a/c cycling and other things) decided to just disappear. Can't even find it on the ground. but all is well.

for now...
