Lost to new GT

Coming home I saw a black 02+ GT coming up fast in my rearview on the freeway. I have 2 passengers in the car and speed up a bit and pace him. I turned overdrive off going about 70mph and we both floored it at the same time with the GT maybe getting a small jump and he had me by a half car length up to 100mph where I stopped going. The GT looked bone stock. ::roll::

That could be -25 RWHP difference alone.

Serge is putting down over 245rwhp... don't think that there is a hp difference. 1/2 a car is not much. Take the passengers out and you would have won.

I was implying adding the 2 passengers was like loosing 25 HP. I know he didn't literally loose HP, but the additional weight has a similar effect.

It was just a stupid way of demonstrating the difference. ;) Unless the passengers were two anemic midgets, I'd agree he would've won if the passengers were out. Regardless, a strong running GT is no slouch to race.

RE: Lost to new GT

Passengers weighed 360lbs total but the GT was not a coupe it was a 5 speed convertible with 1 dude in it. If I see him again he might be surprised.
