Lost wheel lock help

RE: Lost wheel lock help

I called the number(little insert) that came with the wheel lock and send me a new one within 4 days. Cost me $10.

RE: Lost wheel lock help

You can slip a socket over the locking lug. Find one that fits tight. Pound it on with a mallet. Attach a breaker bar to it and remove.

It is so easy to remove these locking lugs with the socket over the lug and breaker bar, IMO locking lugs are worthless.

RE: Lost wheel lock help

I've also had luck JB Welding a socket over a locking lug, and getting them off that way. Be VERY careful you don't get it stuck to the rim. ;)

RE: Lost wheel lock help

Stop by your "friendly" Lincoln or Ford dealer. They all have kits with master keys to see which one you need. You may even get lucky and find they have "yours" in stock.

RE: Lost wheel lock help

that would work if i wasnt pulling the wheel off to put on a new bag

but all is not lost they are shipping me a new key you jsut call mcgard and they have you fax ofer an imprint of your lock then ship your the new key
