These 3 pictures are showing the lower control arms and surroundings, let me know if you need me to circle them or something...

Left to right heading from driver side wheel to frame... as you can see the strut connected to it and the strut rod

I'm pretty sure you can replace just the ball joints, but I bought 97 thunderbird lower control arms(same thing just way cheaper) which come with new ball joints and bushing that connect to the frame. You can replace just the ball joint, but your bushing connecting to the frame I am not sure....

You can replace the ball joint by itself, it's not a hard job.. but a first timer that doesnt know the difference between the lower control arm versus the sway bar end links... I'd suggest replacing the control arm as a unit.

It's far less complicated, and far less chance of screwing something up.

AND..
IF your ball joints are bad, good chances your control arm bushings are bad as well.

Might as well just replace the control arm, which is not much more expensive than the ball joint itself.

ALSO.. if your upper ball joints are bad {and they probably are too) you have to replace the control arm because the upper ball joints are not sold seperatly.

hope this helps

All done it was the lower ball joint !!! Thanks guys !!!
now i jusyt need to do the aligments !!
Thanks

Well so far it has benn holding up just fine for 4 days of just test after test (let all the air out and fill it back, riven it into town and back about 15 times its a 30min drive)

to get it in there I took off the Air bag and held it upside down push the air bag in like deflating it and poored (its the green king that its normaly used for 4 wheelers or so)the hole were the selenoid goes then you stop putting preasure on the bag and it inflates itself while sucking in the green substance !!:big-grin:
care full not to put too much !! then Icleaned up were the selenoid goes so that i wont get any in the selenoid then put everything back together !!
I"ll keep ya'll posted on this !!
P.S. I call it a MEXICAN patch !!!:D

Just an update !!!

Its been 10 months and just last week did the "slime" started to leak !!

Its really a good way to temporarily fix the air bag if you dont have money to buy a new bag at the atime and it only cost $3.50 !!

Now that the SLIME worked its magic for a few months, did it give you time to have a new bag standing by ready to be installed?
