Lunar Eclipse

It was a clear night last night so I took out my camera, and snapped some shots of the lunar eclipse. The moon turned a cooper/red color, it looked like Mars almost. The photos were taken with my digital camera so they don't look like anything you would see from NASA. Here are some shots for those of you that missed it:

That was a passenger jet going across the shot. Only the lights came out on it. I had the camera on auto, and I would say the exposer was no more then a second. Then I just clicked shots at random a minute or two apart. The moon is bright so you don't need that long of an exposer. As you can see the lower portion did not get covered during the eclipse and that area is very bright.

Very good pictures Steve! I especially like the one with the airplane. I completely forgot about the eclipse, I was all ready to go out and watch it.

It was some sight yesterday. Nice shots steve.
I heard there was also going to be a solar eclipse soon.

Cool pics. It was unbelievably bright and nice out last night. I guess I picked a good night to loosen my leash (of the one or two I get a year now)...LOL!
