Mailman = Santa Claus?

I make stuff
So, the mailman came to my house on Friday and dropped all of this stuff off, along with a new baby crib, mattress, and some other stuff my wife ordered. It was very much like Christmas in my house on Friday.

97 Cobra intake, 46k miles and looks CLEEEAAANNN...

Came with what the seller called a "JLT-style" intake tube. I guess that means this. It looks like it may actually work ok, but I've got something else better on the way...

FR500 steering wheel!! This thing is awesome! I know it's gonna take some modifying, but that's no big deal. I've wanted one ever since I first saw it, but just recently came up with an excuse to get it. The steering wheel cover I had on the stock wheel messed it up. Sounds like the perfect excuse to get this...

KONI adjustable yellow shocks. You might be asking yourself, "Why are there 4 of them?" Cuz the bottom 2 in the picture are going on the front. "Huh? But there's air struts on the front!" That's right, these are going in them. I can't wait!

These last items didn't come in the mail, but I did get them on Friday. Energy Suspension poly shock mount bushings. The guy at Advance Auto was POSITIVE that I had to order 4 to get a set of 4 bushings. I think he messed up and sold them to me for store cost ($11.36 total, should have been like $20). They were cheap enough, and I'll be able to use them eventually, so I kept them. I'll be using them with the Stainless Steel shock mounts that I made a while ago, with the Koni's.

Hell yeah!! I can't wait!

And....this isn't even everything! I'm gonna have a really busy month. I'm gonna start working on everything after the local Street Thunder Car Show this month on the 16th.

I wonder what year cobra tube I got, cause it doesn't come close to fitting...

Just troll the Mustang forums. That's how I found mine. If you want, I'll let you know if I find another one soon.

It's an aftermarket one made by C&L. We'll see when it get's here. FLM fan on here has one for an 03/04 Cobra made by S&B, and he's got it mated up to a modified stock air box. It looks really good. I got mine cheap enough that I can sell it if it doesn't work out and try something else.

Nice score!! I thought this was going to be a milk man=prego wife joke. Haha. I was able to bolt up my 04 cobra steering wheel AND airbag with no issues. Just had to swap connectors for the air bag harness.

1 3/8" front and rear sway bars arrived yesterday. Man, these suckers are huge! I guess I just never really thought about how big they would actually be. They're definitely gonna make a difference.

The oil filter relocation kit arrived today. It's Maximum Motorsports' Severe Duty Oil Filter Relocation Kit (OC-9). Comes with braided steel hose, AN fittings, a mount and a filter. Looks like really good quality. I'm very happy with it. It's normally $300, but I got it for $200 off one of the Mustang forums. The guy bought it and ended up not using it, so it's still new. Here's a picture....

I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for these.....One brand new set, and one super-low-mile used set of 4V COP's. They're Motorcraft. I paid $200 shipped for both sets....again, from a guy on one of the Mustang forums. Obviously, the brand new one's look new, but the used ones look almost just as good. The new ones go in the 98 and the used ones go in the 97.

The pictures...

Alot of nice goodies :). The 500 wheel is awesome, ive been runnig mine since they came out. 169.00 or so back in the day to get it. Youll need to modify the spring loaded blinker corners, but youll see all that when you get into it. Also youll need to convert the rear plastic shell of the wheel to the Mustang one. Our marks rear sterring wheel shells fit, jut not up around the corners by top of the airbag. Its fine, but if youre anal about fitment issues youll want to get another rear shell ordered up. Unfortunately you cant just order the rear shell, youll have to buy the steering wheel to get it unless you grab one at the salvage yard. If you do find one, grab it no matter the color. You can always die it black. Mounts the same way, just have to modify the internals to work. The stock mark 8 buttons are identical to mustangs and mount the same way. Keep your lighted ones though as the Mustangs dont lite up at night.

I can't attach pics on my iPhone but why not just install the f500 airbag? I'm not sure what it looks like but I installed the 03 cobra steering wheel AND airbag. Fit perfectly with the only thing needed modified was the air bag connector. Had to swap connectors. Used the M8 cruise switches too, just had re-tuck the wires into the new steering wheel.

I don't think there is an "FR500" branded airbag. To my knowledge, there's only the Mustang and "Cobra" ones. I'd rather have my Lincoln one in there, personally.

Anyway, I installed it a couple weeks ago, and haven't really driven it since then, but it seems like the bottom of the airbag sticks out a little further than it should. How does it sit on your cars?

Oh well I just meant the bag that belongs with the steering wheel. Mine fit perfect...but I know you knew that. Lol
