Mark VIII out of mothballs...

The Mark came out of mothballs today after it's long winters rest. I think it was around mid November when she was put away so I guess about 5 months of inactivity. So after a good washing and drying a little drive was in order. Taking off for the nearest interstate some rice was encountered in the lead on the on ramp. So really just wanting to stretch her legs I was quickly reintroduced to cruising at triple digits and the rice was just a fading image in the mirrors. After a few quick bursts to double the posted speed limit it was time to return to grandpa mode and blend in with the law abiding citizens on an intersecting highway. With predicted temps in the 80s this coming Tuesday my commute will once again be transformed to something more then just getting to and from work. I love these machines of ours!

Congratulations! I know you're a happy guy. Probably like discovering an old girlfriend. I'm glad I can drive mine year round.

Don't be late, Drive a Mark VIII!!!

Same here. Mine does even know what mothballs are. It's nice to hear y'all up north getting excited about driving your Marks again.

I wish I could have taken mine off the road this winter. But, unfortunately, I only have one vehicle. But the Mark got me through everything, snow, ice, whantever, the Mark doesn't back down. I was out driving in the biggest storm of the year. Granted, I though I was going to be stranded, but it never happened.

Frank... so now that your MK is out of the garage, what do you think... might the BBQ grill make an appearance in the not too distant future?
