Moose takes First at PAL

Verrrrrry nice! What's up with that Dart Swinger next to Jeff's car??? Looks a little, shall we say, underdressed for the occasion.

RE: Moose takes First at PAL

Actually, nothing surprises me at car shows ... At a recent show and cruise, Best of Show went to a '76 Dodge Dart with 1200 original miles and garaged kept since 1977.

Covered, vacuumed, washed and waxed once a month and started weekly. EVERYTHING on the car was original... the owner had the original Bill of Sale, Window Sticker, Manuals, Brochure, Service records for fluid changes and state inspections .... it was brought to the show in a trailer. The only dirt on the car was really on the tires as they rolled it onto the parking area.

I'm also learning about the "politics" of these car shows and cruises. While I don't go into a show expecting to win, it does ruffle my feathers sometimes when I see the "friends of the show sponsors and/hosts" winning the bulk of the trophies. When there's 50 cars in a class and only 30 trophies, well, you see where I'm going with this. Anyway... I'll continue to go and hopefully bring home some more hardware by the end of the season! ;)
