More help with the my audio project.

Sorry to bother all of you but i really need some help before i start on my project.

So i think i pretty much decided that i'm going to get 4 new speakers. And a 4 channel amp.
I don't want to spend too much on the setup (over $700).
I'm still in the planning stage and i had lots and lots of questions that i hope some of you can answer.
How do you gain access to the rear speakers since it seems like the entire panel would have to be removed in order to reach them.
What is the deepest speaker i could use so it still fits into the door??
What kind of amp should i get? This is the big one since i'm not sure there are plenty of 4 channel amps out there but if i have 4 speakers that's 4 channels right?? So what should i do about the additional tweeters?? Should i even bother buying new ones?

Here is a list of amps i'm considering. What brands are preferred?
MTX Thunder895 or the 2 models below that since i don't even know how much power i need. (Want to keep amp under $350)

Kenwood 640-Watt Bridgeable Multichannel MOSFET Amplifier with Tri-Mode Power Model: KAC-8401

Rockford Fosgate Punch 1200W Bridgeable 4-Channel MOSFET Amplifier with Selectable Bass Boost
Model: P4004

Here are the speakers i'm thinking about (want to keep them for under $120 per pair) . (not sure about the 6 1/2 since they would need custom brakets etc)

Rockford - 6-1/2" 2-Way 150W Car Speakers
T162C

Rockford Fosgate HPC2268 6"x8" 2-way Speakers

Rockford 6-1/2" 2-Way 120W Component Car Speakers with Polypropylene Cones (Pair)
Model: P162S
(these come with tweeters)

Sony 6-1/2" 3-Way Car Speakers with HOP Woofer Cones (Pair)

Model: XS-V1640H

Pioneer 6" x 8" 3-Way Car Speakers with Polypropylene Cone (pair)

Model: TS-A6870R

Rockford 6" x 8" 3-Way Car Speakers (Pair)

Model: FRC4368

Any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: More help with the my audio project.

How about none of the above? :)

First things first, would you buy from ebay, online, or only the local stores?

If ebay or online, you have a ton of choices.

Don't worry about powering the tweeters, any speakers you buy will power the tweets that come with it.

The rear grills pop off (carefully!) Use a flat head screwdriver on the sides on the grill, then I beleive you pull down. (it's been awhile, I don't have any rear speakers)

Below I have listed a truly awesome set-up, right at $700.

www.carmedia1.com

$279.00 ID Chameleons for the front
$94.00 Infinity Kappa 5x7's, for the rears
$299.00 JBL PX300.4 Amplifier or,

$333.67 Kicker 800.4 from www.nexx on.com

Then buy some wiring from www.knukonceptz.com, and you have a sweet sounding set-up that can get loud when you want it.

RE: More help with the my audio project.

Infinity Reference 7540a
111W x 4 car amplifier
Is that amp no good... just a quick question... Thanks for the reply i'm going to go shop around for the speakers you listed.

RE: More help with the my audio project.

Oh one more... i just checked out the site... The ID Chameleons have external crossovers where would i mount those?? And would i got 4 OHM or 2 OHm which one is better? And are there any comparable speakers in the "under $200" range or are these the absolutly the best.
Btw i don't bying anywhere... as long as it gets here within a week the cheapest place is the best place.

Just checked with ebay
The Kappas run for about $56 plus $30 shipping so around $85. 572.5 Cf right??
Could i use these all around the car and notice a really good improvement? And could i use That amp i posted above if i do decide to use these all around.

RE: More help with the my audio project.

Ah man I totally forgot, the new RE comps are out, GET THESE! They're like $150 straight from www.reaudio.com Insane midbass, sweet tweets, and you just can't beat the price for awesome SQ and loudness.

These with the infinity's for the rear, and your amp choices are wide open. I'll look around more for some amps for you in you want, I need to go play with my daughter...:)

RE: More help with the my audio project.

Thanks so much for all the help so far.
I've check the 3 amps
The kicker i can get for around 250
The JBl i can get for around $250 shipped as well.
Now the infinity i listed i can just go and by at the store and it has 111 watts RMS at 4 OHM and for that price its very hard to beat i just don't know if there is catch to that.

How do i order from RE?? Do i call them up since i don't think you can order from their website. They have 2 types of components RE and XXX which ones would i get?

Thanks a lot Dj.

RE: More help with the my audio project.

yes u have to call them. just get the RE components. the XXX's need an enclosure to sound good as they are meant for people with limited space to act as midbass/subs. your best bet would be to get these components as they are quickly becoming boner of the year for the audio-heads in the know. from what ive heard and read, these things have incredible midbass and extend way up so a smaller midrange speaker isnt necessary. u can mount the crossovers anywhere. most people have them secured in their doors. thats where mine are.

i dont know if id trust infinity as their amps are probably rated just like kenwoods and sony's amps are. they only make their rated power under extreme circumstances. id go with some of the kicker amps off of ebay or the site dj mentioned.

RE: More help with the my audio project.

Thanks for the heads up. I already got a set of the infitinys going to go call up RE.
