So then... who has the most powerful street legal Mark VIII out there? And what are the numbers/specs on it?

...If anyone knows.
 
I live in orlando, and I know of gen 1 mark 8 that is now in new york with twin turbo's. Ofcourse not a 4.6, and the car is gutted. But supposed to be "street legal" , but not practical

He runs 7 sec e/t btw
 
California is still a state? I thought California was it's own country nowadays, separate from the Union. You guys seem disregard most of the laws in the rest of the country and make up your own, more strict ones. :p

I don't care what state.

You can't have **** in california on a mark... you can talk to Jesse ... he just completed a CHP class on CARB/Engine modifications to a car....

you can't have **** done to your ride. And if you do you have to bring it to a referee.
 
Hey now! Actually, you can have A LOT done to your Mark in Cali...look at mine, lol. Buuuuttttt....that doesn't make it legal with the SMOG Nazis.

Yes, but like I told Jesse, there are some smog testers (I already know two) that don't care what you've got if you pass the sniff test. Don't even have to bribe them.
 
Exactly. :) Just recently I sent my dad to get our 91 Nissan P/U smog'd. I pre-arranged it and said the CE light was on. No problem they said.(only for me)

So my dad goes down, doesn't say he's my dad, and hands them the keys. John jumps in, starts it, turns it off and gets back out. Lol! He said, "you're check engine light is on, I can't smog this." My dad said, "Oh, Jesse said you guys would take care of it." John says, "Oh sh$t, you're Jesse's dad...never mind, it'll be about 20 minutes!"

asumming the lights work It would be legal in Iowa needs DOT tires too but they would never inspect it if it has a vin you can plate it
 
in florida if your lights work and its not to loud your ok. if its too loud they will pull you over and give you a ticket other then that we dont have inspections here
 
Id say burbank's mark is one of the fastest, if not, the fastest "modular" vehicle. Where its still a mark viii and has orignal parts inside and so on, and he claims to get 20+ mpg to and from the track, he runs 11's. The fastest video i can find right now is an 11.8 but i seen one he did 11.3
