MSD Blaster 4-Tower Coil Pack

When it comes to late model performance parts, nothing beats bolt-on and direct connection components. Especially when they improve performance with a hotter spark like these new MSD Blaster Coils. These new bolt on coils are designed with improved materials and windings to produce a stronger spark. This improved spark helps burn the fuel mixture more efficiently resulting in a smooth idle and improved mid range rpm power.

RE: MSD coil

I have them for a year or two, dennis has them about as long, and Steve strapp has them. What do you want to know about them?

RE: MSD coil

I really dont want anything that steve had because his car doesnt work anymore

RE: MSD coil

Are they worth getting on a pretty much stock engine? I heard it allows for a bigger plug gap, but is a waste for n/a engines.

RE: MSD coil

I believe the general Mark VIII concensus is the OEM Motorcraft coils are high quality units with no known performance deficencies to warrant aftermarket replacement.

But I think the red color is cool!;)

RE: MSD coil

My Coil-on-plug set-up sucka dn I thought about going with the stacker 8 that Dan R. has for sale, but I cant until the nazi warantee is up....

RE: MSD coil

MAN, I wish Stee had some competent people working on his car. He'd still be around, and his car would be an animal.

RE: MSD coil

Same here chris, but then my car wouldn't have headers and a torque converter waiting to go in (i just put it on jack stands yesterday, the header comes back from PF&E today, i plan on having the t/c done this weekend).

I wouldn't spend money on ignition components unless you have some sort of power adder or a problem. There is very little power to gain with a "stronger" spark or anything like that.

RE: MSD coil

Dave, I didn't know you had my headers. Man, what a small world. You ever gonna come down here and meet up with us fast mark VIII's or what?

RE: Stock is more then enough.

RE: Stock is more then enough.

WOW, whats that a pick of? ;)

That wouldn't be the most powerful Mark in the World would it?

LMAO!!! Why yes I just may have a "few" more pics of the BADDEST Mark VIII ever to exist.

I'll see if I can dig them up just for you Chris.

Why?, can we let the cat out of the bag now?

what ever happened to Steve and his car. I haven't seen him post in a while. Last I remember he had the heads and intake worked along with headers and stuff. what happened to that thing?

RE: MSD coil

The guys that were installing the parts were idiots and installed the cams 180 out and couldn't figure it out/ wouldn't listen to me.So he is parting the car out and selling it.He bought a 2002 WS6.

RE: MSD coil

I kind of forgot about this thread.

PF&E stands for performance fabricating and engineering, a local shop that specializes in custom headers. I'm having the kink that is in one of the drivers side primaries removed. I still haven't picked them up, yesterday was payday :). I'm waiting on a few parts still that i ordered, and i still have a few things that i want to do while it's torn apart.

Last i heard, Steve's WS6 was in the shop getting a new engine and transmission too (under warranty, though). I think he just has bad luck.
