I have found a spring car the so called rarest mark of them all. I will not disclose the location of the car. However will you help me confirm that it is a spring car. The dealer want 4,995.00 for it at 130,000 miles. What is this car worth and will I be able to recover more than that out of it. Please help I want this car.

"Recover more than that out of it"? Are you buying it to resell it?

Do they have all the documentation on it? Plaque or whatever came with it?

Unless you find someone who really, really wants it(like yourself).
With 130k you're going to have a really tough time making more out of it.

Your price may vary depending wildly upon geographic location.

I've been told my car is worth more than book value as well, but it wasn't the insurance company. :( And unless you plan on special insurance with mileage restrictions, no Spring Edition Mark VIII is worth more than any other Mark VIII of the same age and condition.

What is this car worth and will I be able to recover more than that out of it..

Considering my girlfriend bought a 94 mark 8 w/108,000 miles for 1800.00.
The car had never been smoked in and still had ALL of the stickers with instructions stuck inside the ashtray door..etc

I'd have to say with 30K more miles roughly 1500.00 or LESS.. depending on the condition of the car is about all it's worth.

What does Kelly Blue Book say?
Chances are.. they are "fairly close" to the actual value based on mileage and condition of the car.

If you are purchasing the car for it's "resale" value, you should walk away and find a better car that actually HAS a resale value..

Mark 8's aren't known for "holding value" and not many people purchase them with "resale" in mind.

As mentioned before, with the exception of collectors.. that car isn't going to be worth any more than any "other" mark 8..

unless you find a collector..and a collector isn't going to want to pay "top dollar" for a car with more than 100K on the odometer.

Spring Feature cars aren't really that "special" IMHO, nor would I pay a "premium" to have one.. they are just "another mark 8" with a very poor resale value.

Gen II Mark VIIIs hold their value better than Gen Is especially low mileage Gen IIs. If that Spring edition had less than 50k miles on it, I am sure it would sell for at least 10k... with 130k MOST mark viiis have had tough lifes and will require many expensive parts replaced, especially on a gen II.

with one blend door issue, you can and will lose your TAIL END with that car....if it needs a rear neon {likely} your way WAY upside down.

personally, I wouldn't touch it w/10ft pole, especially at "that price".

MAYBE HALF that much if it was in good condition, but based on the in ability to walk into an auto parts store and BUY a headlight.... once again.
TEN FOOT POLE....
GOOD LUCK

I think 10k is a little high, I bought my 98 LSC with 46000 miles from a Dealer for $8800 out the door. I think I paid a little more than I should have, But I wanted this car!

Opps...spring feature. Thats what I thought......130k on it....survey says pass it up bro.
