Is there anything wrong with your car?

I think you'd be disappointed with the S4, I spent some quality (not really) time with a automatic one and wasn't at all impressed. Especially on the hi way, my MK8 would have killed that car at any speed... My biggest annoyance (other then the blood red gauges) was the fact that unless I had the steering wheel set to "School Bus" I couldn’t read the top 2/3rds of the Tach and Speedo... I don’t really know anything about the VW, other then after driving a MK8, I could imagine it would feel like your zipping around in a shopping cart…

well I am going to Chip the Car (S4 or 1.8T whever I buy), aftermarket diverter Valve, Bigger Turbo Pipe, Lowered, Tires and Catback Nuspeed exhaust.

The ARP chip (www.goarp.com) will give me 300 HP or so for only $500! I've been drving a VW 2003 GTi 1.8T lately and let me tell you its soo much fun..its automatic and 5 speed tiptronic. It's my friend's whos gone away for a while...he has all the stuff listed above. His 1/4 mile time is 13.9

yea, turbo cars will respond to chips very well, esp. if the turbo boost is computer controlled. I have a friend who is doing all kinds of BS so that he can get extra boost without the computer cutting out on his spirit (once the pistons are off my workbench and back under the hood, that is). What we really need to do is find someone who can put the car on a dyno and adjust everything.

the only way your friend can accomplish this is by a chip if it's a new car with ECM controlled BOOST. Very cheap (comparetivly, safe and road tested.
