I joined the club in 2000 but was on the message boards since 1997.

At least 4 of those charter members have passed away, # 1,2,3 and 8 :frown:

I saw Bill Hamilton when i was at Carlisle 2 years ago, i think his son may have had his mark viii.
I know Dave Barocas sold his Mark VIII a while back.
And I think Nicolas DeSpirito use to bake the cake for Carlisle, but sold his Mark VIII a ling time ago as well.

I think your just about one of the only ones that post here anymore.

Yea, I knew you were here a long time too. I bought my Mark July 31 1998 so I didn't look at LOD until after that, but hung around at both BirdCats (now TCCoA) and SCCOA before that.

I call Steve Trapp every once in a while... Sharon and I like to harass him... :D

I joined in December 2000. I don't post much since I sold the mark but still check the boards every few days. Seeing all these old names brings back a ton of memories!

Does he still have the GTO? His Mark always looked great.

I honestly don't remember... I think he might not, but I may just have to call him again... :D

Yes, including yours... :D

Happy Anniversary!

There are a few names there I don't recognize.

But Joe, call Strapp and tell him when you'll be coming to Chicago so we can all get together.

Wow, I haven't seen some of those names in a while. I joined in 02 I think, although that could have been markviii.org. I bought my 95 back in 01, I was still in high school!

I know I joined sometime after max an then had to rejoin after I got banned. It's crazy how many people come and go.

I know I joined sometime in 2001. I bought my 94 around spetember 11th as I remember talking to the dealer about the crazy stuff that was happening. Gosh, has it been that long? Yep those names sure bring back some great memories.

I bought mine a week or two after Sept 11th. I also remember talking about that to the sales guy. I actually used it as a bargaining chip, I threw in there "who knows how much longer you will have this car on the lot, the market is already seeing effects from the 11th. We might be in for another recession!" ;)

This is funny....I just recently met Bill Hamilton. I had my car in a car show down here and he had a 71 (I think) Mach 1. I saw him at another car show with a new GT500 also.
Anyway, he came up and talked to me about Mark VIII's and told me that he was one of the charter members and that he goes to Carlisle every year. Pretty cool guy.

Oh, and he also told me that he's got an LMS 3-piece spoiler sitting in his garage that he never installed. He wanted me to ask if anyone was interested in buying it. I would in an instant if I had a Gen 1...

Yea, he is a big Mustang fan.

He should come and post that wing in the for sale section.
