yeah i did, but she didnt, she drove some and after wasting gas trying to find her a 4 door she told me she wanted a mark VIII again and nothing else, so she got one!

Very nice 93, I love the black grille. The question is since it's a 93 can it keep up with your modded 98?

2nd gens are dog's. my other 93 would smoke my 98, and after pulling out of the gas station today and getting on this new 93, there is no doubt this one will whip the tar out of my 98 also.

i meant stock for stock, gen 1 is much quicker then a gen 2 hands down. i know my 98 could be faster if i had money to throw at it. but stock for stock a gen 1 will kill a gen 2

Not to get started on the gen1-gen2 debate again :p

Congrats once again on the car. I still think that Mark VIIIs had very good paint jobs, with the exception of the black that they offered.

Nice to see a 14 year old car shine like that.

Are you going to get some decent wheels for it?

Just because it "feels" faster doesn't mean it is faster if you know what I mean. Heck, my friend has an 03 Altima 3.5 6 speed and another friend has a 98 LS1 Camaro 6 speed and when he got a ride in the Altima he said it felt just as fast as his LS1 but the Altima only runs high 14's and his LS1 is low 13's...

I dont know why everybody keeps on talkin about 93's being fast my friend has a 93 mark VIII along with a lincoln ls and my 97lsc smoked both of them stock by almost a car .....I think 93's are steel rolling death traps.

Thats just my opinon.

"I think 93's are steel rolling death traps. "

thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard, only 93's???
the car is the same car from 93-96, and almost the same as 97-98, basically they are all the same 93-98 so what makes the 93 a " steel rolling death trap" but not the rest of the years of the mark VIII !!! a mark VIII is a mark VIII reguardless of year. boy did this thread go off topic, all i did was put some pics of the car i bought!

Didn't mean to take it off topic, it's just that my Gen 2 ran a 14.8 stock, which isn't bad at all, and I think compares with a lot of stock Gen 1s.

Yo, the Mark viii is an auto by itself, we are all owners of a rare classic, let us not argue , but , let us enjoy the pleasure of an auto that very few will ever know, lovin my 98 torreador red, not the fastest, but in my mind the prettiest, what a beauty!
