My new tires and rims

RE: My new tires and rims

Which reminds me i have a few questions.

1. Do I need to use new Lug nuts?

2. Should I use hubcentric rings?

3. How much would you pay to get them installed and balanced since i called around with prices ranging from $88 to $125.

4. What Pressure should i run since these are different rims and tires.

RE: My new tires and rims

Won't lug nuts come with the rims? I have no idea, but my rims did.

No answer on the other questions - but they look nice, post pics when you get them installed.

I think you should get new lugs, unless you have nice and chrome ones.

The hubcentric rings, I would try the car without them, see how it feels.

$80 - $100 sounds right to me for mounting and balance.

Not quite sure about the pressure, but from what I understand, the reccommended pressure is based on Lincoln, not the wheels, but I could be wrong.

I can't wait to see them on your car.

RE: My new tires and rims

When I went from stock tire size to 245/50/16's (lower profile) Tire Rack recommended the pressure be increased 1-2 more pounds over stock, I forget the physics of it but you are actually holding the car up on less air so need more pressure basically. They have a good technical page you can read all you would ever want to know about the subject on their web site. Where did you get those Cragars?

Got some tints now... looks killer. I'm waiting for the dent guy to arrive tomorrow and take out some dents. Then its wash time and right afterwards i'll take pics. So i'll post those By Sat.
