need a diagram for extra part placement

i just pulled the tranny on my 98 to replace seals. the placement of an excess part excapes me. it looks like a damper for the differential. but when i try to install it on the rear differential hangerhanger where i think it goes it hits the inspection cover.

can anyone direct me to an exploded parts diagram of this assembly? thanks
