This is my first post on LOD. Great forum! I purchased a 97 LSC in July as a project and carefully drove it from Saint Petersburg to Dade City without any air in the suspension.
Compressor was not lifting the car so I opened it up to find clean, healthy piston & sleve etc. Opend up the vent solonoid and found the plastic end tube that connect it to the compressor had cracked. (Looked like oxidation and heat breakdown). I temporarily plugged this port to check if the compressor could lift the car. It worked. Turned out that there was a slow leak at the base of the front left air spring. From reading posts in this forum it explains the vent solonoid failure.
Now I need a vent solonoid. Don't think these are available new. Would rather not buy a complete compressor if someone has a vent solonoid they would sell.
Torearor Red, Octastar rims, 107k. Only mods are K & N filter in stock housing & 3 bar spinners. Really fun car. look forward to help.
