I have a 1998 Mark VIII. Nobody will do a "JMod" to my tranny, everyone wants to do a complete rebuild. I tried KBL in Midway City (orange county) but he insists that I need to send my trans to Canada and swap it out. I didn't even ask how much.
Does anyone know a shop in Southern California where I can get a Jmod and a forced lube mod done? I make phone calls, they say "Sure, I've done it in the past. Come on down." THen when I get there, it's a "Wow, you need a complete rebuild. Leave it here with me for a few days and it will be better then new. Just sign here."
Also, I am having problems finding a mechanic to install the rear end gears, traclock, and drive shaft. You'd think the car was a Ferrari. One guy quoted me $950 + parts!!!!!
I need a mechanic that does not have a thousand dollar a day drug addiction.
