Need help picking out shocks

I recently got a 94' Lincoln town car, i wanted to get some new shocks to take some of the "boat" feel out of it. Not wanting to drive it around like a race car or anything, just stiffen it up a little. Anyone have any suggestions for good shocks?

RE: Need help picking out shocks

I'm not too familiar with the town car, but if yours are worn, replacement OEM shocks will take out some of the boat feel.

I would personally see if i could get some bilstiens on there. The ones i put on the back of my navigator help a lot, but it's a little different application. They do definitely firm up the ride, though.

Welcome to the site!

thanks for the advice and the welcome, ill definitly have to look into those shocks. btw i am enjoying the site, lots or great info about my lincoln :)

also would it be better to get all new shocks or just front or just back?, i dont want to spent a lot of money. but want to get the biggest bang for my buck

All 4 is the way to go.

I'm not sure whether bilstiens will be available for your car or not. They probably will for the rear, but if the front has air struts you may be stuck with OEM replacements. If that's the case you're probably better off going OEM on the rears too.

On my truck i can't get the bilstiens for the front because they're part of the air ride. I put bilstiens in the back anyway, though, to control the ride motion better when towing.
