Big problems. Sharon's car will not start. It only clicks as if the battery is dead. Will not jump start. Checked the battery voltage and looks good arround 12V. lights, windows, etc all work. Any suggestions?

I'd check the solenoid wire going to the starter. I'm not sure about the gen 2's but the gen 1's just have a push on connector that can get loose or dirty.

If it's clean and tight, measure the voltage there, when the key is turned to start. it should be 12 volts.

Passenger side, where the engine connects to the trans, near the exhaust. It's a bit hard to find, you'll have to jack the car up and put it on jackstands for safety.

Figured it out. There was oxide buildup between the starter contacts and it shorted out. Just cleaned it off. Saw it immediatly when I went to probe the voltage. Whew. That was a close one.
