bought a 94 from the auction and trying to get it running.

so far, i changed the old gas out and put new plugs and it turns over and attempts to run, symptoms are similar to the car being flooded, but it won't stay running. no engine light has appeared and the onboard computer doesn't show any thing wrong when you run a check.

any ideas? could it be a fuel regulator or is there any sort of sensor for the idle that wouldn't cause the engine light to come on?

thanks

will work on pictures.

check for Fuel pressure at the schraeder valve on the Fuel pressure regulator, change fuel filter first.

i have spark, i have air, and it feels that i have too much fuel. Could the fuel pressure regulator send to much fuel and flood out the engine?

If you think it's flooding, just mat the accelerator while cranking. That shuts off the fuel injectors.

What driller said.

I think it takes a pretty weak spark to flood though.

The crank sensor is a known cause of this issue on the marks too.
Def need to make sure there is fuel there at all.

thanks for all the suggestions, i will try it out this weekend, hopefully get the car to run. i could be the injectors being stuck, it was at auction and i was told the car has been sitting for a while. i will post back with results.
