Sorry for the long post, and TIA for any help. You guys are the first ones I am turning to!
I need some advice/help on what to do with a situation... My girlfriend works for a telemarketing company here in Omaha, and recently has informed me of some problems she is having, and I don't know where to start, or if its worth bothering with... First of, let me say that I am jumping in because she doesn't have the best of common sense, and would rather sit back and do nothing, so I have to handle things for her. The problem is this: The company she worked for (she quit today), is one of the biggest jokes I have ever seen... Last friday quite a few of the employees quit because it was payday, and when they went to go cash their checks on lunch break, many of their paychecks were declined (bounced)!!! Her brother works there along with my mom's co-worker's husband, so I know its not her making up things. She cashed hers at one of those paycheck cashing places that just takes it, and doesn't run it through a machine, so she got her money. Another problem that she informed me of is that she signed up for benifits (insurance, dental, health, vision, life, etc...) and they've been taking money from each check for over a month now and she's not recieved any provider information. Yes, I know she should have gotten information on coverages, etc... before she signed up (hence the lack of common sense), but she didn't, and they've been taking like $60+ out of each check. Today she told them to go "bite" themselves (thats mild), and she pretty much quit. (she said there were all of like 5-8 people there!) So where do I start? I am not trying to nececarily get her money back (but it would be great), but to try to help her and anyone else that was "scammed" when they worked there, maybe so they get investigated. Not trying to sue, or spend lots of money, just trying to get the ball rolling.... I thought of maybe making an online complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission websites to start out with. I greatly appricieate any help and thought in advance that anyone has to offer on the subject. And again sorry for the long post, and any confusion, but I wanted to get it all out!!
Thanks again!!
