Hi, I need some help Please.
97 LSC with 175,000 miles, daily driver.
I went out this morning and it cranked but didn't start. This has happen before (4 times, today, 2 weeks and months ago) it has always started in the past when I have gotten home in the afternoon. Makes it hard to troubleshoot. but this afternoon it will not
start, so I had my daughter crank it over while I depressed the schrader on the fuel rail to see if I had gas, YES I do. Next I checked for spark, NO spark at the plug.
ANY Idea's??

No spark? Crank sensor most likely. You may try unplugging it and plugging back in.

RE: Need some ideas, won't start

camshaft position sensor or crankshaft position sensor? isn't the crankshaft sensor under the intake?

RE: Need some ideas, won't start

Driller, I found it and un-plugged it, put it back on and the car started, I am left wondering if its because I un-plugged and plugged it back together or did it just start again on its own.
Thanks you again for the reply.

At your mileage, I would replace both the cam and crank sensors. You may want to splice in a new harness connector for the cam sensor as well.

I went through this same ordeal. Replaced cranl and cam sensors and have been good since.

PS: Autozone has them for $15 ea
