WTB: Needed: Toreador Red Neon Light Assembly – Top Dollar Paid.

With all the inattentive drivers around here, it was bound to happen. Somebody backed into my parked Mark knocking out the neon lens. Luckily for me, she left a card, unfortunately for State Farm, they will be replacing it.

Their recommended body shop quickly found out about the scarcity of this item, so I get to help them find one. The shop would prefer a NOS assembly (do they exist? LOL!) since they have to warranty it, but I’ll be happy with a used one in excellent/working condition.

So if any of the members around here is hoarding one, I'd hope you'd help a fellow enthusiast out.

Thanks in advance,
Tim K.

*sigh* I always wanted a set of those. Bill's always look so darn sharp.

Thanks Marked8! Contacted him and the body shop. Hopefully this will work.

Will report back.

It's things like this that make this forum so wonderful.

Quit griping, Jamie.....hehehehehe We all wanted what you HAD! No one had the time/money to get down there!

oh, man. I would have jumped on those for $100.

*sigh*

Just an update...

Still looking for one. The ones that have been posted have had some form of issues. Looking for a "nice" one.

TIA

Are you only looking for one that's toreador red, or are you open to other colors, or possibly chrome?

I've got a few of them in my garage in various conditions, none are red though. If you're open to other colors, I'll dig out what I've got and take some pictures for you.

I'm open to other colors, but not chrome. Condition is key. I'd like it to be as nice as possible and proven to work.

There's a white one on ebay right now that I'm waiting for some additional pix. Looks pretty good, but I'm not sure about the repairs made to the mounting tabs.

Thanks for the response.

I really hate bumping this thread. :frown:

Really wish I could move on from this. All of the lights I've come across have some form of issue. I'm considering one on ebay, but don't like the fact the studs are fiberglassed back on and it has a tear in the rubber.

There isn't any nice ones left?

I would suggest negotiating a cash settlement with the insurance company and install a functioning unit albeit with whatever issues. Then keep your eye out for the one of a kind unit that is pristine in every way. It may take months, but it will eventually surface. ;)
