New addition to the Fleet

Thanks! :)

We managed to get it detailed inside and out and had a hood shield and vent visors installed with the front windows tint job. Also got a set of WeatherTech color-matched floor liners for the winter grime.

The weather has been frightful as of late, so new pics are not anywhere soon. Already scored a nice set of wheels/tires for the summertime - just need a little road trip to pick them up.

Next up will be some basic service work and then it's on to install a good tranny cooler. After that will come the SCT Xcal2 and a brake controller for the trailer.

Besides a few little door dings, the exterior looks pretty good when clean and waxed - with the exception of the only real flaw pictured below. Most of it buffed out with the detail.

Nah, I had it detailed at a local shop while at work. I agree, it's a lot of truck to be buffing by hand. Of course, the Harley F150 and the Town Car are pretty big too, so I've had some practice. LOL

Great truck :)

JP how many cars/trucks you got?

F 150
2 mark VIIIs
Mark VII?
Town Car
Navigator

That is 6 cars/trucks for 2-3 drivers?? !!!

The ranch house is full with Mrs. Driller, # 1 son and # 2 son ('drill-bit') and a daughter in-law. So with myself, there are 5 drivers. ;)

The Harley F150 is a company vehicle and my daily driver.

The two Mark VIIIs are our weekend toys. You know the Blue Flame stays occupied but the '96 hardly goes further than a trip to the car wash and a couple shows each year. I had thought of selling it but it wouldn't bring any money and it's just too clean of a car to part with. Who knows, when the Blue Flame 'flames out', the other Mark VIII is ready and able. :)

The Mark VII was delegated to 'drill-bit' for college commute service but now is officially off the road and sitting patiently awaiting restoration. It has seen its better days and I thought of selling it, but 'drill-bit' wants it for posterity?

The Town Car is Mrs. Driller's designated daily driver. I had actually thought of trading it in for a new Navi' but couldn't bear to let it go and take on a 'mortgage' for a new vehicle.

The Navigator was simply purchased for winter road service and summer towing duty (this keeps the Town Car off the salty roads for the most part).

There's still two more cars in the driveway! The oldest son has a Scion TC and 'drill-bit' and his wife sport around in a Neon. I tried my darndest to get the oldest son to buy an LS when he got the urge to trade in his Jeep, but for some reason he wasn't impressed with a Lincoln. He thinks the Scion is cool.

So, I guess it's true, eight is enough!!! :lolgrin003:

Nice one John I kinda been thinking of gettin one too, I see I see your gonna be doing some polishing on those black vehicles. Love black
