New Battery Terminals

Roadboss

On Work Release
I want to upgrade my stock battery terminals so I started nosing around and came across these. Has anyone here tried them, or got an opinion on the technical merits of having that built in LED volt meter right there for easy viewing on the battery terminals. One concern that I have is using set screws to hold the wires in place versus solid solder connections.

OK now it's your turn.

I have that type just without the readout. I just put some luck tite on the set screws and socked them in. I haven't had a problem yet and it's been a few years.

I have a HD set from Stinger with set screw terminals - I like them.

The VM is nice but when you need it - it will be too late. A better solution is inside the passenger compartment.

Thanks for the feed back guys. Driller you are right, wish our instrument cluster had it in there. I'm trying not to put any gages inside or cut holes, note I don't have even a boost gage or FP gage. Total insanity I know.
Again , thanks for the imput, I think I'm going to order only on set now and give it a try.

ndoghouse bought one of those cigarette lighter plug in digital read outs for voltage, then promptly "TORE IT APART"..haha

he tucked it all behind the console and cut ONE small hole so he could mount the small 1X2 digital read out on the console.

Looks factory stock... and it's functional!

Not sure if you checked for Mark VIII entire OEM + & - replacement cables Charlie, but they are no longer available. Aric was able to make Mustang cables work on my Mark if you are looking for a clean factory looking appearance.
